Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The duties of this position include teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, establishing and maintaining an active program of research or other scholarly activities, and participating in service activities. The standard teaching load is 18 hours per academic year. Additional duties may include advising students, developing curricula, and teaching online.

Description of the Department or Unit

The Department of Mathematical Sciences consists of 29 tenured or tenure-track faculty, as well as more than 20 full- and part-time non-tenure-track faculty. The department offers undergraduate degrees in actuarial science and mathematics with concentrations in business, computation, life sciences, physical sciences, secondary education, and statistics. The department also offers a master's degree with concentrations in college teaching and secondary education. The department currently has about 250 undergraduate majors and 15 graduate students.
