The Department of Computer Information Systems and Supply Chain Management in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Supply Chain Management, beginning Fall Semester 2018 subject to funding.

Minimum qualifications for candidates for this tenure track position include an earned doctorate in Supply Chain Management/Logistics from an AACSB accredited business school, demonstrated ability to conduct high quality research, participation in service activities and evidence of strong teaching capability. Other closely related fields and ABDs graduating before August 1, 2018 will also be considered. All candidates must receive their degree from an AACSB accredited business school for consideration. Instructional duties include teaching courses in or related to global supply chain management, six sigma, procurement, logistics, data analytics, supply chain technology and production operations management, as well as, similar courses for the MBA degree. In addition, related Supply Chain Management professional experience and ability to teach courses in the Computer Information Systems program are preferred. Most tenure track hires are at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor; for consideration at the Full Professor rank candidates would need to demonstrate a national and international reputation with a strong current record of academic achievement in research, teaching and service.
