The Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University invites applications for a tenure-track nine-month faculty position to begin in August 2018.

POSITION: Teach music therapy courses, provide supervision for pre-internship clinical training in a variety of clinical settings, supervise MT-BCs in advanced clinical training, guide graduate students in the thesis process, and advise music therapy majors. Other duties as assigned by the dean of the Hayes School of Music.

RANK AND SALARY: Assistant Professor; salary commensurate with experience.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must hold Ph.D. in music therapy or Ph.D. in music education with music therapy emphasis, must hold CBMT certification, must have at least three years experience in each of the following activities: full-time clinical music therapy experience or equivalent in part-time clinical practice, music therapy clinical supervision, and full-time faculty member in music therapy. Substantial research and publication experience preferred.
