Furnished Queen bedroom suite and bath, located on the middle floor of a 3 story house. (The bottom floor of the house is an apartment rented to an ASU staffer in the College of Ed.) The queen bedroom has an in-suite bathroom with shower, and glass sliders that lead to a private deck with wooded and long-range mountain views.
Amenities: The mattress is new, and both sides of the bed are adjustable by remote control. Hi-speed wifi is included. We do not have landlines or cable TV.
Also included: A semi-private relaxation space. This is a nifty exercise, love some plants, curl up in super comfy recliners and read room. It's wonderful in the snow and when the rain hits the glass. Both sides of the couch recline, and the two theater chairs recline and rock. Amenities: The room has snuggly blankets, a sink (not pictured), a coffee/hot chocolate station, a stone patio with a table/chairs, an elliptical trainer, an incline rack for hanging upside down to stretch your back, and an elevator. This room is located on the middle floor of the house, so if you want a more private entrance, this is it. There is also a washer/dryer on this floor. Amazingly, I seldom go in this room, so for all intents and purposes, consider it yours.
Shared Kitchen and Dining: I like to cook and socialize and hope you do, too. If you're interested in such things, the kitchen features a Thermadore induction cooktop which can boil water in under 2 minutes, a convection microwave and a convection oven. The dishwasher is so quiet that it projects a red light on the floor so that you know that it's running.
More things you should know: GREAT hiking nearby. 2 miles to amazing restaurants, brew pubs/wine bars and other resorty things in Blowing Rock. There are no students here. Drive to campus is 15 - 20 minute of no-stress. AWD is necessary 3 - 4x a year. House rules: NO SMOKING on the property. 10pm weeknights is quiet time.
Possible deal breaker for you: My 18 year old son's room is across the hall from your suite. He is "in-residence" every other week.
