Important Information Regarding Benefits Open Enrollment

10/13/20; 9:55AM

Please be reminded that the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period will begin Thursday, October 15, 2020 and run through Saturday, October 31, 2020.  This is a shorter open enrollment period than is typically provided and it is very important for all benefit-eligible faculty and staff to complete the enrollment process to ensure that their 2021 benefits meet their personal needs.  Please note that if you do not complete the annual enrollment process, your health insurance benefit will default to the 70/30 Health Plan, your Health Care and/or Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account elections will not carry forward to 2021 and your health premium will include an additional $60 monthly fee for not completing a new tobacco attestation or cessation counseling.

You will complete the annual enrollment process online through the EBenefits portal, which can be accessed here.  You will login to EBenefits using your university username and password.  Please note that EBenefits cannot be accessed prior to the start of the open enrollment period and the portal will close at the end of the period.

The Office of Human Resources 2021 Open Enrollment Information website, which can be found here, contains important information that we strongly encourage you to review as we approach the annual enrollment period.  The website includes information about benefit options available to you, options for receiving assistance, and a schedule of informational webinars and virtual workshops.

We are here to help and available to provide support throughout the annual enrollment period.  Please note that to ensure compliance with campus safety guidelines, in-person consultations with Human Resources Benefits Representatives will require a scheduled appointment this year.  Be assured that we will meet with anyone requiring assistance while observing all appropriate safety protocols.  You may schedule a consultation appointment by contacting:

Please remember that to complete your open enrollment, you need an active email account and you need to know your university username and login password.

Finally, when you come for a scheduled consultation, don’t forget your face covering!
