COVID-19 Shared Leave Donation Form

Thank you for your consideration in donating leave to our COVID-19 Shared Leave Bank. Leave donated through this program will support university employees who are unable to work due to certain COVID-19-related reasons, who are receiving less than full paid leave, and who have exhausted all of their own personal leave balances.

You may donate any form of your own accrued leave listed below and recipients can use all forms of donated leave interchangeably. You may donate any amount of leave to the bank, provided that your donation does not bring your own accrued vacation or sick leave balances below 40 hours each.

Donations may be made any time between July 6 and November 30, 2020. Any donated leave that is not used by a recipient prior to December 31, 2020 will be returned to donors’ leave balances on a prorated basis.

Advisory Note
ADVISORY NOTE: Donation of Sick Leave could affect your retirement. At retirement, a member of the Teachers’ and State Employees Retirement System (TSERS) with an earned Sick Leave balance receives an additional month of service credit for each 20 days or portion thereof. The additional service credit increases the retirement benefits for the remainder of the life of the retiree.
