The recently enacted Federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) contains several special pay and leave provisions for employees that became effective April 1, 2020 and will run through December 31, 2020. The FFCRA also requires employers to distribute the attached information to employees. This information is also posted on our HR COVID-19 website, along with Frequently Asked Questions published by the U.S. Department of Labor. We anticipate additional information and guidance on application of the provisions to our employees from the UNC System Office soon and will alert you when it is available.
