2020 UNC System Employee Engagement Survey Launches

Last week, Chancellor Everts communicated that all university employees would receive a message from UNC System Interim President Bill Roper regarding the 2020 UNC System-wide employee engagement survey.  You should have received Interim President Roper's email message yesterday announcing that the 2020 survey will launch today, February 4 and will run through February 18.  This afternoon, all permanent, full-time faculty and staff will receive an email directly from the survey vendor, ModernThink.  The ModernThink email will contain a personal link and instructions for completing the confidential survey instrument.

You will recall that this survey was implemented as part of the UNC System strategic plan, to measure employee engagement system-wide three times over the five year plan (2018, 2020 and 2022). The survey is an important initiative for our campus and the UNC System, supporting our strategic goal to “systematically focus on recruitment, retention, and development of the most talented and diverse workforce possible at all levels.”  Please take time to participate in this survey.

Additional information about the survey and ModernThink can be found on our dedicated engagement survey web page at: https://hr.appstate.edu/employee-engagement-survey.

The Office of Human Resources will provide updates throughout the survey period and will be actively working to support the survey process.  Please contact us if you have questions or need technical or other assistance.  Primary contacts for the survey are: Emily Wilson (wilsones1@appstate.edu) and Blair Berry (berrybm@appstate.edu).  For technical support, please contact Michelle Johnson (johnsonmr5@appstate.edu).

Thank you very much in advance for your participation.
