Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment is used at the individual and team levels to better understand personality styles. Understanding your personality type provides insight to your individual preferences to help you better understand your behavior. At the team level, this assessment can assist with learning communication styles and help you understand others. The cost is $20-25 per assessment. A courtesy debriefing session is lead by an MBTI-certified Learning and Organizational Development Consultant. If you would like to explore the MBTI for your team, contact a Learning and Organizational Development team member.

Perspectives by Constructive Dialogue

Dialogue across differences is an important value at Appalachian. To support this, we have partnered with the Constructive Dialogue Institute to support Faculty and Staff in building skills to practice constructive dialogue: A form of conversation where people with different perspectives try to understand each other - without giving up their own beliefs - in order to live, learn, and work together.
